Re previous post on late delivery of VM message

So what ports are used when MWI is sent to phones over scn and message indication to the phone manager over both LAN and scn. It is sent using UDP isnt it? does this mean notification is sent once and once only? And if this doesnt get thru for what ever reason how can a message appear days.weeks and evan months later??? Need to find an answer for this one

I believe that MWI is sent each time a msg is left.
If it is missed the netx msg left lights the lamp ( & updates the msg count)

It's also the core switch that does the lamp lighting. The VM server will instruct/inform the switch, the switch instructs the phones.

So factors such as UDP/ports/etc shouldn't be an issue if voicemail is working.
