I need some explaination on commands:

what do commands below means:
set outmessage 8000
set bulk on
set recovery off
thank you
 
Set Outmessage 8000 - this sets the outmessage to 8000 pages. It's an optional setting depending on the amount of RAM available.

set bulk on - helps to reduce network traffic on a network when the outmessage buffer fills up and transactions are applied

set recovery off - normally used during a load process and turns off log creation since there is no point to doing this during a load.

If these statemenets are part of a load script, remember to reverse them once you've completed the load.
