Hi everyone,
I am having a lot of collisions on my 3Com switch.Amber lights on all ports.Could you please help me configure a 3Com switch.
Thanks in advance

Hi

What 3Com switch do you have? IF you are running a Full duplex setup you shouldn't be experiencing collision issues at all. The reason i say this is that the orange lights roughly indicate activity on my switches.

The best thing to do is telnet into the switch. Type ethernet > statistics {portnumber} this will give you detailed error info including collisions to see if you are actually getting them.

Telnet info is applicable to 3Com 3300 (unsure of the rest)

Cheers
