RE: Migrating Config file data from Win 2003/MS SQL 2005 to Win 2008/MS 2008 R2 any way to migrate?

We are in the process of migrating an existing site that uses Reporting Services from win 2003 server to win 2008 server. Ive managed to copy the ReportServer database across and its been 'restructured' to the new 2008 structure automatically

However the old site used a form based/AD authentication on Reporting Services and therefore I need to get the old setup migrated across with all the settings. I have however, I found that the config files (in particular web.config and reportserver.config in the ReportServer directory) have changed radically, and you can't simply just overwrite the new (2008) files with the old (2005) ones to set this up. Is there anyway to migrate the settings or 'upgrade' the old config files automatically?

Hard to say. Most of the migration instructions state that the new installation will add the necessary keys for the 2K8 version and not disturb the 2K5 keys. However, the old keys aren't used in the new installation.

I haven't found any documentation that maps the old keys to the new. That may be your quest.
