I have a backend DB and when I relocate it to another computer or server I need to re-link the front-end.

Have done this numerious times, but this one front-end when re-linking keeps asking me for the location of every table in the front-end. What a pain and it shouldn't if I select the location of the back-end.

Have checked and unchecked the 'ask me' box with no difference.

Other front-ends relink OK.

Driving me nuts.

This usually happens because the linked tables are in more than one backend. Even a single table from a separate backend will cause this and can be difficult to spot.

If it's not this I'd just delete all linked tables and relink them with File > Get External Data > Link Tables
