I want to add a second processor to a Windows NT server. I was told I would have to re-install Windows NT 4.0 after I added the second processor is this true? And if this is true will reinstalling Windows NT 4.0 cause me to have to re-install SQL Server 6.5 again? Also I was told that if my system was setup as a multi processor kernel I wouldn't have to re-install Windows NT 4.0. Is that true? And if it is how can you check to see the kind of kernel installed? Thanks!!!

I found an article at microsofts website on adding a second processor. I found it by searching under second processor using a boolean search. It has an article on manually changing Windows NT to a multiprocessor kernel. The address is: <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> would like to know if anyone has had an experience with adding a second processor to an NT server.
