Re-install Unixware after "Activation of First installation was Failed"

Dear Experts,
I have Hipath 4K v1, when I checked the log of the installation in the Hipath assistant (webpage at the address 192.1.2.5).
I found the messege "Activation of First installation was Failed".
Also I found two packages missing alarms (

Also I notice that,
- The CC-A keep in "Active state" for half an hour after that restarts for 2 minutes and return to "Active state" , this operation keeps in progress each half an hour. (when the CC-A restart, all of the system stop working)
- There is no "Standby state" in CC-B.

So I hope by re-installing the Unixware, the problems will disappear.

I don't know which V24 port I have to connect with , and what is the cable needed, Baud-rate&Stop-bits&parity , also I don't know the steps of re-installing.

Hello,
Finally I can access to Unixware console, V24/4 port with ppp over null modem cable.
I reset the ADP and press ESC to choose reinstallion from RMX (1st option).
when I finished installing 54/54 packages, I get the messege "Activation of First installation was Failed", and there are two packages (AScools, AScwinst) not installed. (these two packages aren't considered by the 54 packages).

what I have to do?

After using ACT-USSU:LTG;
the system can't reach the "Active state", I waited for 2 hours, after that I did EXEC-REST:SYSTEM,RESTART; , Also I waited for 2 hours, after that I did EXEC-REST:SYSTEM,RELOAD; , nothing help.
For that, I hope to re-install all the system and remove all the configuration, what I need are:
1- clear and complete installation files (I wish to provide me a copy, or tell me if there is hidden clear copy !!!).
2- the steps of removing the configuration (because, when I did reinstall of unixware, the configuration still exist, nothing removed).
I hope your help please.

Hi,
If you can not get the Unix to work and you have tried to re-install it and it still does not work.
Probably the best way is to setup the disk again from the start.

HOWEVER
You will need to have a SCSI card in an XP machine.
Install and use PCHI
Download the Software and install from the start.

Another way would be to get the UW7 (Unixware7) install files on an MO disk and install it to the current hard drive.

but I stopped when I saw that I need sign-in if I want to download the software by using PCHI V2.13, there is sign-in required, how can I login?

The System is not activated.
This could be the problem with the Unixware.

Either the CCA or CCB should be active and the other one Standby.

On CC-A:
- From "1 to 9" , and keep in "9" for some time. after that back to "1".
- (rarely) a few time turn from "9" to "|." keep this status for couple of minutes after that back to "1".
On CC-B:
- always "1".

I try from the Hipath assistant GLA/PDS, copy HD-PDS --> MO-PDS, and DEA-DSSM:A1,1; and RESTART; , I boot from MO but nothing change.

I re-installed the system again, please find the progress in the attached files (installation report.txt), you will see that after installing the 54 packages, it appear the message "Activation of First installation was Failed", After some time, it appears the message "Activation of 'First Installation' was successful."

But the CC-A and CC-B, without any change.

so I make partial regen from the macro that you are published. and the result in the attached file (ResultOfPartialRegen.txt)

Also nothing change in CC-A CC-B

Please do the following:

then again
ACT-USSU:LTG;

Slot 58 and Slot 91 Should be Q2270-X100 DPC5P with 128MB Memory

If still not loading up:

Remove Card in Slot 91
Remove Card in Slot 58

Put back in Card in Slot 58 - wait to see if it loads up
When it goes to A (hopefully)
Then put in Card in slog 91

Also plug in on the Dongle using V24/Serial Port/RS232
Connect up using Comwin COM

See what errors are coming out in real time to tell you why
the system is not loading up.

Forget about the assistant for a while and get the SWU up and running

I have tested what you told me. CC-A can't load up.

the errors in the attached file (I notice the the errors F1010, A9001, A9008, and A9011 are new after re-installing)

Most unusual to be honest.
The A processor should have loaded up by itself without the B processor added in.

If it was me at this stage I would format the disk and start again.
Formatting would remove the old Unixware.
