Hello all,

I have Fedora running on my laptop along with Windows XP Pro. I'm thinking about dumping Fedora and installing Mandrake 10.0. Is there any way I can keep the boot order/manager intact without having to reinstall Windows along with Linux?

Thanks,

Boot manager grub or lilo?

I only know lilo.
How about making a backup of /etc/lilo.conf, install mandrake, compare that's lilo.conf with you backup, and make a collage from both to a new lilo.conf?

Mandrake should do just fine finding your Windows installation anyway. Shouldn't require any thing on your part other than installing Mandrake.

I have no first-hand experience with this alleged bug, but just FYI:
Fedora Core Doesn't Like to Dual Boot?
I have installed Fedora Core 1 and dual'd it with WinXP no problem, even tripled it with Debian+XP. I haven't personally installed FC2 though, so can't say if this is something to worry about or not.
