Hi! I am currently in the midst of migrating my entire staff of Quark XPress users to Adobe InDesign 2.0. I am trying to figure out an InDesign substitute for importing test. In Quark XPress, we would usually pour coded Microsoft Word documents into Quark XPress using Em Software's XTags so that the text appears in the correct style sheet. Is there an equivalent method for for doing this process in Adobe InDesign?

InDesign displays the Word styles in the styles palettes. You can redefine these styles after import or replace/match with another. A script to do this replacement is available on the AdobeExchange section of their website.

Why is everyone in this forum responding to me as picklefish?

If you wan't to see the codes for indesign, take a formatted text in InDesign and eksport from InDesign as a InDesign Tagged text, and open it in a notepad then you can see the codes.
