Well, I should be hanged for referring you to the wrong URL! My most recent version has this wierd color twist...

Now you may see what I saw. At least I know that the previous version of this Flash document was OK, and that's a clue..... but everything's 255 ...no bright/tint/alpha change.

Sorry man! This one looks as good as 7C in both browsers!
You ain't wearing your Flash pink shades... are you? I can see the outline of the frame of your movie(for a second...) when the embed kiks in... But after that, pure white all the way!
BTW... is your .fla available? I'd like to see how you did the arc lettering!

;-)

WRONG AGAIN...I can't believe it.... the pink is BACK, even in my most recent version! It is only white when I view from my server. The very same SWF looks pink when viewed from my Earthlink server. I really don't understand....

Hey man, I just searched yahoo with the question, why is a white background in flash pink. it lead me here. great site. anyway, you're exactly right. why is the darn thing pink? it's not in netscape or in dreamweaver. yours and mine both, pink PINK PINK! it sucks! i've had this problem since the first day i used flash, since version 1. i've always just worked my way around it by using borders or changing the background color. now i can't. i need a white, WHITE background. i can't believe this hasn't been addresses by macromedia. it's not like it's just a small bug. it's huge! if you come across any answers, please let me know. thanks!

Sorry to report this man! But your intro's background, simple but very nice by the way, is as pure white as can be, in Netscape 4.76 and IE 5.0. As we say in Québec here...
"Plus blanc que ça, tu meurs!"
Loose translation -> More white than that... your dead!

This must be a local or server problem!

;-)

BTW... what does Alexia look like? "Smile. It makes people wonder!”

hi guys

this was a big issue on here around xmas time, remember Old?
When I went to Loch Lomond for xmas and checked my work on an old Compaq monitor all was pinkish. But when I returned to Edinburgh all was fine & scrumpy!!

so? what's your point?
i want answers not banter.
thank you

The point it, Freaky6, that NOBODY KNOWS! It's like flying saucers... we all see them, but can't provide tangible proof nor explaination. This subject has been covered as well as sane people can do, by davdesign and oldnewbie.
If you find an answer, let us know. Otherwise, like baldness, just live with it.

hey freak (by nature) if you can't handle responses don't post a question. If you'd put your lame brain into action for any length of time you could've found a lot of previous threads on this issue.

Already up & running Dave?
You seem "grumpy" this morning!

My only regret is I'll probably never know what Alexia looks like!

hey freaky

just realised you didn't even post this thread. Take some advice, if it ain't your thread don't bust it up with bullsh*t. If you want to do that, have the balls to post a separate thread so that everyone can see how pathetic you are!

Sorry gotyebw, I know you've got this marked for notification, but this kind of attitude bugs me.

Freaky6 is just one of us, frustrated at a nasty bug in Flash. I want answers, too. It's only because this is a rare, sporadic problem that I have not given-up on Flash development. (As if there's any real employment in this area !)
So, in the meantime, all we can do is BANTER about it.
