I am trying to print to a Dot Matrix Printer using a Generic Text driver but font character codes are being printing as dot characters in the report....

How can one use condense/double width character codes with Generic Text printers in VFP ?

When using the Generic Text driver, printer codes (like bold, condensed etc) must be sent explict.
This can be done either in the printer-options box or by sending them yourself.

In VFP, <ESC> can be sent by using CHR(27) Diederik Vermeeren

report form xxxx to file text.txt ascii
type text.txt to printer prompt
