I'm using Call Manager 9.1.

I have an investment services group with a common number - 0022700 - that is a bridged DN on their phones. I was asked by a user if there is any way to forward that DN to voice-mail on an ad-hoc basis from any phone? It's easy enough to configure the DN in Call Manager to do that - but how would I do that if it's a bridged DN?

what is a bridged DN? Do you mean a shared line on all the phones?
Just forward it no answer and busy to voice mail just like any other number.
If that's what you are after, can you be more specific

Whykap: Forgive me - I'm a former Avaya admin, and bridged DN / bridged appearance is an Avaya term to describe a shared line. The line is already set up to go to voice-mail in the event it's not answered in 4 rings. What the users want is to send the shared line to voice-mail RIGHT AWAY (no rings) from any phone before meetings, then turn it off when they come back from meetings. Make sense?

they can do it through the user web interface, log in and forward the line to vm or whereever they want it to go.When they are done log in and take the forwarding off.

I'm somewhat new to Cisco. I'm familiar with the web-interface for Unity, but how do I get to the web-interface for the DN? The unity interface doesn't have anything on forwarding that I can see, and clicking on the IP address of a phone in Call Manager just brings up stats for the phone.

Here's a link explaining how to set it up.
You might already have this set up, but unless these steps are followed, the cucm user page will be useless.
It also had the url for your users to access their own portal.

Set it up and play with it, it's pretty easy. Let us know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks. I'll take a look at it. Like you said, it may already be set up. I've only been at my new job 8 months, and I'm still learning. The previous admin was a sharp dude and he may have already done this. I'll look into it.

whykap - That was it. It was already configured but we just weren't using it. Thanks - you get a star!
