New to Cisco and would like to know if a cisco 837 router is capable of configuring custom DHCP Scope options and what the commands are ?

Yes...

router>en
router#conf t
router(config)#ip dhcp pool whatever (name of the pool)
router(dhcp-config)#network x.x.x.x y.y.y.y (ip add and mask of scope)
router(dhcp-config)#default-router x.x.x.x (whatever router interface ip address is serving the dhcp scope)
router(dhcp-config)#?---this "?" gives you whatever other options you need

/

tim@tim-laptop ~ $ sudo apt-get install windows
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package windows...Thank Goodness!

Thank you burstbees for the speedy response. I will have a go at these.

dont forget,
router(config)#ip dhcp exclude adress

You need to exlude your gateway address and other etc in global config mode.
