Hi Everyone,

I'm using Crystal Reports XI and SQL Server 2003. I'm trying to develop a crystal report which connects to a stored procedure through an ODBC connection. When trying to insert a field or label into the report its extremely slow. It seems to really have to think about it before it does anything. I've never seen this happen before. I've check the server and the server is fine as well as the ODBC connection. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Thanks for your help.

Slowness while inserting a label suggests that the problem is resource related, I'd try rebooting 1st.

Do you mean that it is very slow to accept the new field? Or that an addition causes the modified report to always run slowly?

I found a problem with Crystal Reports 10 and 11 if a strange printer was selected as the default printer. Selecting a real printer, or even a pretend laser printer.

It looked like something was causeing problems with the screen redisplay.

Select a different default printer, or set the report printer settings to "NO Printer"
