RE-Creating SD card bypasses upgrading control units???? 1

Hey guys,

Anyone else notice that when you recreate a SD card seems to automatically upgrade the IPO500v2 control unit and modules?

Here is what I did:

unboxed and powered up IP500v2 - Status: 8.1.63
Now,
New SD card -> Inserted into laptop -> Recreate SD card (MU-LAW) -> Once complete, inserted into IP500V2
booted up control unit
pulled config and everything shows at 8.1.69

when I try to upgrade the control unit to 8.1.69 (which already shows it at 8.1.69) it fails.

Thoughts around this?

That's how it's meant to work, and it saves time. Also it will run 2hrs without the card (except embedded VM)
