Hey all - having another image problem - object does not seem to be grouped, object not locked. Cannot use eraser tool (nor scissors). Image is 6 3-D oblong shapes - outline only - I need to cut it down to 3. Not sure if I was clear but any help would be appreciated.

If it is not a placed raster image, try selecting it and then using the Object menu->Expand... function.

I did it - I selected object; then clicked object/image trace and expand. Not sure if correct or if there will be "side effects" but I was able to do what I needed.

Thanks so much for trying to help.

That is an operation you can perform on raster images.

It is "correct" enough if the image was not adversely modified during the conversion from a raster image to a vector image.
