I right click my taskbar
uncheck lock taskbar

right click my taskbar
click toolbars
uncheck language bar

right click my taskbar
check lock the taskbar

The next time I boot the pc the language bar is back and the language bar is magically checked again.

How can I get rig of the pesky language bar????

sam

Double-click Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.
Click the Languages tab, and then click Details under "Text Services and Input Languages". This will give you access to the "Language Bar" tab where you can check your settings.

If you just want to turn off the Language bar right-click the Language bar (icon) on the Taskbar, and then click Close the Language bar.
