RDP/VPN utility?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but....

I'm looking for a utility to load on a user's home machine such that it can be configured to trigger a VPN connection when an RDP session to their work computer is launched. I'd also like it to hang up the VPN connection when the RDP session is done if possible. Does anybody know if such a utility exists?

I know there are ways to script this but giving a user a simple graphical utility with instructions would be optimal.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
