Is there any way I could connect to a windows2000 workstation using RDP? I know it works on server and XP but I need to connect to a 2000 workstation. I rather not use any other 3rd party software if not necessary. Don't have licenses for PCAnywhere and VNC is open source (nothing wrong but I rather not use it)

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

No, to win2000 professional you cannot, there is no built-in terminal server.

You can't directly, and you did ask for any possibilty...
If you have a Wk2000 or Wk2003 server in the network

If you have Terminal server services running on a server, create a Wk2000 lan workstation connection to the Terminal server, then create another connection to the TS ,as an administrator, local or remote.. now through the "Terminal server manager" snapin, use "remote control" of the windows 2000 connection to make a connection.

I use netmeeting set on auto-answer and using a secure connection that I initiate once logged into the server.
