Hi all,

I've got a 2K server that I need someone to access for support.

I've setup an AD account. But when this user tries to RDP onto the server he gets this error:

'You do not access to log to this session'

I know on 2003 server, there's a list of allowed users for RDP, but cant seem to find it in 2K.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Win2000 never had RDP, you may want to try VNC

Terminal Services for Administration on Windows 2000 was limited to members of the administrators group. If you need to have another user use TS for remote admin, you will need to do the following;

- Open Administrative Tools --> Terminal Services Configuration
- On the right hand side right-click on the RDP-TCP Connection and select properties
- Go to permissions and add the user you wish to have access.

Nice n easy to follow instructions that actually did the trick.

Thank you very much, I almost had to resort to PC Anywhere.

Thank you again.
