Hi there,

I have 2 SCO unix boxes that I'm trying to synchronise using rdist but it's failing with time out error.

I've tested the rdist setup using small files/directories and it tested OK.

The file sizes that I am trying to sync is approx 12G.

Any idea?

Cheers

You could try increasing the -t timeout option on rdist.
It defaults to 900 seconds.
you should also check how much space you have in the filesystem where /tmp resides.
Is it alot of little files that = 12G or do you have some large files in the mix?

Hi Stan,

I've already tried increasing the timeout option but it did not help. The space that is available in the /tmp is only 1358MB and the files that I am trying to sync is a mix of small and large files.

Thanks for the reply

Cheers
Ehab
