RDC, Parameters showing a Table Field's data ??

I am writing a Report in CR8.5 using some Parameters, I wish to show the user, a list of possible choice's, from a consistent field of data in a DB3 database, being accesed by ODBC. This list HAS to be read at the time of running the report, as the listed data will change for each site that runs the report and may change between running the report each time. The report is being written in the RDC window from CR V8.5, there is no VB application in front of the report, to pass info from.

Can it be done? if so, how ? as I am struggling to find a way.
