We have several userless XP Pro systems running processes, which require the use of the GUI. If you walked up to them and turned the monitor on, you would see screens changing. These run in far away places and need to be checked by Remote Desktop nnection periodically to assure they continuing to run normally. I remote in, watch it run for a minute, then exit Remote Desktop. The problem is that when I exit remote desktop, it logs the station off, instead of allowing the station to process. Is there some way to set Remote Desktion connection so it can just "visit" the station, and not log it off when I leave?

You should be able to disconnect from the session rather than logoff. You can either disconnect from the session by clicking the X or by clicking start logoff and choose the disconnect option. In a disconnect state the programs continue to process.

Read the thread to the end, as there is a lot of misinformation as to the registry entries required at the beginning.

This is of dubious EULA allowance, but I have not heard it is flat out wrong. It may well be.

loscajn's advice above is solid. You can disconnect and reconnect your remote session without closing it. You just have to be carefull about how you do so. You might want to review your autologon, and at Startup and at Logon scripting on these remote machines as well.
