Staff members at a high school connect to a DBMS app on a Windows 2003 Server via an .RDC icon on their desktops. Many print drivers are installed on the 2003 Server on which this DBMS app resides, all of which were put there so that the driver match-ups occur with the local printers that those users have in their own Control Panel - Printers configuration.

This all worked fine in such a way for quite awhile but this week NO PRINTERS are visible to them from within that app when they do a FILE-PRINT or FILE-PRINTER SET-UP. All they see in what should be a list of relevant selectable printers is an empty box instead of a pick list.

Nothing changed or was installed on this TS / RDC server that would have caused this, It simply worked one moment and then stopped working the next. ALL of those printers are still present and visible in the Control Panel of this TS / RDC server so all I need to do is make them visible and selectable once again from withiin the DBMS app.

THANK YOU

Check your print spooler..control panel/admin tools/services. Make sure it is running, if it isn't then start it back up. Also in the recovery tab select restart services on all 3 failure options.
