Hi

I am trying to connect a server to the SAN. I see that RDAC is installed but I do not see the disk array router dar0 and the associated devices (dac0 and dac1). Does anyone know how I can install these or do I need to re-install RDAC altogether?

Also does anyone know if RDAC is installed automatically with AIX 5.3?

Thanks

Hi

Yes, I ran cfgmgr. I even used rmdev -dl to remove fscsi0 fcnet0 fcs0 and fcs1 and then ran cfgmgr again and these all came back.

I have traced the fibre cable from the lpar into the switch and it looks ok. The other thing I would like to check is whether the HBA WWNs are seeing on the switch but I am not really sure how to do this at the moment.

Thanks

Ok - you need to connect to the switch and check a few things out.

1. Are there any errors?
2. Are the HBA WWN registered in the name server?
3. Does your current zoning config (if you have one) allow the HBA to see the storage controller SAN ports

With the 2109 B32 you can connect via HTTP or telnet.
