Looks like my RD log stopped collecting records. Does anyone know how to start it again?

Reading /e/rpt/LOG00004.RPT
Newest File Name : "/e/rpt/LOG00004.RPT"
File being viewed : "/e/rpt/LOG00004.RPT"
Capacity in bytes : 1000000
Capacity in records : 1231
Number of records = 820
Oldest record = 0, logged at 01/01/1970 00:00:00
Newest record = 819, logged at 15/01/2009 23:17:45
Current Record = 819
Display Increment = 10 records

I may be off on what your specific issue is, but if I do "rdall" twice, I get more recent info.

The RD log is just not being written to. This is supported by my first entry where it shows the newest entry was January 15. Here the directory shows the RD Access log being updated but not the RD log itself.

Directory of '/e/rpt':

SIZE DATE TIME NAME
---------- ----------- -------- ------------

1000000 Jan-15-2009 23:17:44 LOG00004.RPT

I take it no clue exists in the file dated Jan-15-2009?

Is is also possible that the file is "open", and as such, is hidden? I supposed you would be able to view it though. It just seems unusual that all of the listed files are exactly 1000000 bytes...in other words, it didn't stop at a random time.

What if you created a new file called LOG00005.RPT and watched it it would increment data?

Of course, I'm not sure I'd do all this on a production system without some thought.

I looked up some of the other commands and see a few that may or may not lead somewhere.

rdopen
rdshow
rdhelp
