rcp RHLinux to AIX

I'm trying use 'rcp' between RHLinux Ent-4 and AIX 5.1. I keep getting a permissions issue regardless of the direction I use for rcp. I have reset the directory permissions and use the same user login on both machines.
I have been able to establish 'rcp' on diffent machines, RHLinux Ent-3 to AIX 4.3.3
All suggestions greatfully accepted.

I recommend using scp with a public/private key pair instead, but if you must use rcp, make sure both hosts are in each other's /etc/hosts files. I presume you have set up either /etc/hosts.equiv or ~/.rhosts files appropriately, and ensured they have the correct permissions?
