rcp lost connection???

Hi

Whenever i try and rcp from one box to the other or vice versa, i receive error rcp: lost connection. (running for approx 15min on 100mb link)

Any ideas?!?

ps. one of the boxes has had a fresh installation of solaris 8. (also both boxes are running solaris 8, and they can ping each other rlogin ok etc)

HI,

If you said running for 15 mins then it died, I suggest you check your network connectivity for congestion etc. How big is this file you trying to rcp? plus do you have to use rcp to tranfer the file? There are other method that you can use if you want to.

P/S: try ftp the file and see if it fails.
