For some strange reason we can't access rconsole.I have tried a dsrepair, and that didn't find any errors. We were useing it a couple of weeks ago with no problem. We have a Novell 4.2 server SPA9 and running client 3.1 on the workstations.

Stupid question, have you rebooted?

Another stupid question, is RSPX.NLM loaded after REMOTE.NLM? -----------------------------------------------------

I have rebooted a few different times after dsrepair and yes remote & rspx is loaded.

Does it load from your AUTOEXEC.NCF of is it configured via INETCFG? If INETCFG, try disabling it and then reconfiguring it. Ensure that there are not conflicting entries in the AUTOEXEC.NCF also. -----------------------------------------------------

It is loading from the autoexec.ncf and not the INETCFG.

Try unloading RSPX followed by REMOTE, then loading REMOTE manually followed by RSPX. See if you can then access your server via Rconsole.

If not, post your settings in AUTOEXEC.NCF for this and we'll take a look -----------------------------------------------------

That worked.Don't know why but unloading and reloading in that order made it start working again. Thanks again

Nice! It may be worth checking your settings in AUTOEXEC.NCF then. I always put REMOTE and RSPX as the next commands after the server name and server ID -----------------------------------------------------
