Ok, I believe I know how I need to set this up, just looking for some verification here.

System- ACS R7 w/ PC Mail Large. Customer wants calls to their extension to be forwarded to their individual cell phones if they have the "Forward" button pressed on their phone.

I enable #322 on those extensions, program a personal speed dial button (80-99) on their phones with the appropriate cell # assoc. w/ that speed dial.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but in order for this setup to work the way they want it to, I MUST have the AA answer all calls, and then once the caller enters the selector code that I have set up to reach whomever they are calling for, then the call x-fers from the AA to that ext., it rings 4 times, and then if no answer it outcalls to their cell.

The way they have it right now, they have all lines ring on every phone, and then cover to ext. 10 VM box if no answer. Problem is when I press the "Forward" button on a phone, the incoming calls all get routed to JUST that person's cell and no one in the office can pick it up. My above solution should work the way they want, as long as they want the AA to answer first, right?

Thanks in advance

If the remote call forward is setup correctly the phone that is forwarded will beep once and the call will be directed to the cell phone.

Because you are using Call Coverage to make mailbox 10 answer the lines, Ext. 10 "owns" the lines as well. So when you forward it, all the calls follow the forward.

Yes, the auto attendant answering first, eliminating the Call Coverage, will allow a caller to transfer to a forwarded extension.

You don't necessarily have to use a selector code to do it, the caller can dial the 2-digit extension number if you want.

Remember that Ext. 10 is the Dial 0/timeout option, so I wouldn't make that one be the forwarded extension, as all the people that don't know what they want will end up going to the forwarded number.

As I understand the remote call forwarding feature, it requires the forwarded ext to be the line coverage ext for that line. Since only one ext can be the line coverage ext for each line, it will not work for multiple exts to forward out from the same incoming line. That is not true for DID's, please correct me if I do not understand this correctly. I have set this up before, but it has been a long time. Selector code transfer via centrex works much better than this, as it does not tie up two system lines for the duration of the forwarded call.
Even if I am wrong on the line coverage ext requirement for remote call forwarding, each call being forwarded will use two system lines per call to connect. So for 5 users to do this at once you need 10 lines, and then all your lines are busy. IP Office with DID's is a much better solution for this typpe of application.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

You need an extension to be the call coverage for a line if you want ALL calls coming in on that line to be immediatly forwarded out without any intervention.

For instance, you don't use an auto attendant after hours, you just want calls to go to the on call person's cell phone.

You make one extension be the call coverage extension, and forward it to the cell phone.

Different situation: You want the auto attendant to answer the call, play a message, give the caller the option to leave a message in a mailbox, or transfer to the on call person. Don't use call coverage, but assign the lines to the Auto Attendant. Then forward one extension to the on call person's cell phone, and instruct callers to select that extension if it's an emergency.

IPO is a whole different class of system from a Partner. RCF on a Partner is a "nice" feature, but we don't really push it, prefering to use Centrex for off site transfers.

thanks for the clarification, I haven't set that up for so long, I forgot. We do not push that feature either as it is a resource hog with the way it ties up lines. With the IPO business we have been doing, I touch a partner about once or twice a month now.
