I have a customer that is running RCC on a BCM 400 Rls4.0.2.03. None of the scheduled reports will print. Nor will any report when you just print. If you view it first and then print, it works fine. It worked fine for a while and then stopped. The previous tech reloaded it and it happened again, twice. Any ideas?

Hi,
I have this problem too, and thought I'd ask if you managed to find a solution elsewhere as I see there were no replies?
I have to view them on screen, then print them which is successful, but having spent hours trawling through all the settings, I can't find any other printer defaults to have to set, or settings to input, and I'd like to automate it as it's a slow process anyway!
Any luck?

what version RCC server are you running and on what operating system

If its not broke tweak it..

Hi TLDuk
In the help menu it says it is v 2.4.357.2.61, running on XP Pro.
Hope this helps and thanks for replying.

Yes i have had this problem on a system that was upgrade from 3.6

Some things to check

from the RCC server goto
check all the tables for corruption if you have a lot of data you may have to do 3 or 4 tables at a time other wise the internet explorer will time out, fix any corruption and try again

Install the latest RCC patch it has rcc v2.4.360

BCM.R400.244-RCC

you will also need to install SU 18 Desktop 13 and Core 261

if that does not work try a default CCRS data base the documentation describes how to do this but make sure you backup your original data first

This is what fixed my problem the RCC just din`t like the upgraded CCRS data base from a 3.6 system and would not print reports so I ended up defaulting it..

Goog luck

Hi again, and thanks for the info.
I had one corrupted file out of the first 20 or so which I fixed, but it now locks up if I try to test the rest one by one, and I have to reboot the RDB server PC. Any ideas?

Also, if I install the patch as you suggest, I don't feel confident with the SU 18 desktop 13 and Core 261 (as I don't know what they are!). Can the patch be done without the others? Should I be playing with these files - as an end user "non-techie"?

Thanks for your help, but I don't wanna mess up anything and make it worse!

If you are an end user and have no experience of patching then don`t go their, the patching process is relativity simple but if the have problems you will be stuck...

Ask your supplier / Vendor re the patches...

The only other option you have is to try the default CCRS database

If its not broke tweak it..

Here is the solution that Nortel had me implement. As TLDuk said, patch your system to the latest SU system and desktop, as well as any dependencies. Make sure you back up your MYSQL data base prior to the new desktop patch. It should say where to get the directions in the "read me" file of the SU desktop patch.

Then remove RCC from the PC using "Add and Remove Programs". Do not reboot when asked to. Go the folder C:\Program files\Nortel\Reporting for Contact Center. Delete the entire "Reporting for Contact Center" folder.
Delete temporary internet files, cookies and empty the recycle bin. Remove the PC from the network. (Not sure why, but that is what they said to do.) Reboot the PC.
Note: Do not remove MYSQL or java. Reconnect to the network. IP into the BCM with Internet Exploder and download RCC from the BCM applications menu and reinstall.

This fixed the problem of printing the reports. However, it did nothing to tell my why it stopped printing in the first place.

Its in the release notes !!!

2. Not being able to print the reports with skillsets involved. When trying to view a report with skillsets involved, RCC website fails to display all skillsets. RCC engine and RCC printing service were upgraded to cope with this situation.

Hi Guys
Many thanks for all this. I think I'm best off going back to BT who installed this, as I think it's fair to regard the lack of printing as a fault (as they have since offered patches), therefore they should come back and upgrade it to the "working" version. I have a maintenance contract with them, so surely they should address it?

Not sure how they'll react to that, but worth a try. I was just hoping for a relatively simple fix, but as I said, I don't want to do something I'll regret!.

Thanks for your time and suggestions, and I'll post the outcome in due course.
