We continue to use an old database system for our business invoicing, pricing and other inventory functions because it is so powerful. To rewrite it in any other program would be stupid expensive.

Hoping somebody out there can help.

About a year ago we had a simultaneous software/hardware crash of major proportions. The only way we were able to rebuild the data was to use an older backup and then transfer the more recent data via CSV unload/relaod.

The system is fully functional on the surface but I recently discovered an anomalie that I need to repair. I went to the R: prompt to perform a data "edit" for research reasons. I find that only data that is newer than the date of the older version we started with for the rebuild comes up. None of the transferred data nor any of the entries since the rebuild appear to exist.

The only repair function that I know of is RBSYNC. I have executed this with no improvement.

Is there anybody out the with a long grey beard and a good memory that can help?
