What is a good rule of thumb to plan a new system installation for lines to DID`s?

EX: 100 employees, 150 DID - how many T1?

Thx

you have to know your call-flow or expected target call flow. ACD? Customer Service? Normal Admin? All that factors in. 7 would be non-blocking. If I had no info what-so-ever 4.

Your current carrier should be able to give you a traffic report on the lines you have and your call volume with blocking. If you can't get that, start small, 3 people to 1 line each. If volume goes up, add lines. So, start with 1 T-1 and go from there. Be sure to set a daily traffic study to monitor volume, and prepare the carrier to add another T-1 fast.
