Hey I am trying to rate limit couple ports on a Cisco 2950 48 port switch. I have setup a service-policy using the QoS but problem I am running into is can only restrict the input. I have to restrict gig port and min. restriction I can do on gig port is 8mb and I need to restrict down to 1.5mb. Now my question is is there a way of restricting by output instead of input that would work great because I could just restrict output on the ethernet port and set it to 1.5mb if not possible is there any other way besides QoS???
