Need some help here. I have a Cisco Catalyst 2950 with Rate Limiting option but don't know how to use it. I would like to restrict a user on a specific port down to 1mb instead of getting the full 100mb connection I tried setting the bandwidth option on that port down to just 10kbits to see if that works nothing changed still get speed test of 3 or 4 mb on internet so I know that isnt working is there another option somewhere were I can limit the bandwidth of that port?
