IAM SUPPOSED TO GO FOR AN REMOTE ACCESS.
I HAVE APPLICATION UNDER VISUAL FOXPRO-6 WHICH WILL RUN UNDER WIN 98.
I HAVE TO ACCESS DATABASE FROM THIS APPLICATION WHICH IS AT HEAD QUATERS, LIKE WISE I HAVE 3 PLACES, FROM THIS 3 PLACES I HAVE TO ACCESS THE DATABASE AT HEAD QUARTERS. MONITORING & COMMUNICATION TO CLIENTS IS BEEN DONE FROM THE HEADQUATERS. I WOULD LIKE TO GO FOR LOW INVESTMENT, IN CASE
1) WHAT KIND OF TECHONLOGY I HAVE TO GO.
2) WHICH OS I HAVE TO USE(WINNT/WIN2000)??
3) WHAT KIND OF NETWORK I HAVE USE(DHCP OR TCP/IP)??
4) WHAT ARE ALL NETWORK COMPONENTS I HAVE TO USE(ROUTERS/MODEMS/NTS/NIC)??

setup your database on terminal services, but you will need to purchase licensing. What type of firewall you have really depends upon the type of RAS service you should setup. Do you have anything in place now? good luck jbead JBead
