I am running a Win 2000 server and wish to remote access from a Win 98 client.

Connecting using modem is fine, the server picks up the client, and can ping the client ip address, but the client is unable to ping the server or access any files.

Routing and remote access on Win2K server all looks ok. No error messages.

Any help appreciated.

Problem solved.

A manual edit of the lmhost.sam file solved the problem, by adding the server's IP address and name to the bottom of the sam file.
