I have RAS configured on a Windows 2000 Server.
I am able to successfully connect a laptop that is
running Windows 2000. I can browse the microsoft network
with out any problems. I can see all my NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 PCs and Servers.
I can't, however, see my novell servers from the laptop.
If I connect the laptop to the LAN via the regular cat5 cable, I can browse the novell netware servers using network neighborhood and expanding netware or compatible network.
But, when I connect the laptop with the modem cable and dial into my ras server, I can only browse the microsoft windows network and not the netware or compatible network.
I get an error that the path is not found.
Any ideas???

I've an idea but i don't know whether it works or not.
Go to your control panel. Choose services icon.
A list of running services will appear.
Be sure that RPC Locator related items are turned on. And be sure that the netlogon service is successfully working.

Hope it helps..

Thank you for the reply. I was able to correct the
problem by allowing the dial up connection to the RAS
server to use the IPX/SPX Protocol.
