I have a Windows 200 RAS server and I would like to know if anyone has ever set up a win 98 ras server or even if Win98 can be a ras server.
I know I shouldnt go backwards but there are reasons for this which are that I am trying to connect INBOUND at 56k and two analog modems are unable to do this so I have a ISDN line with a ISDN modem which will accept calls from a analog modem,BUT the modem is not supported in windows 2000 server so i need to either buy another ISDN modem that is or go to a different OS>

Thanks
Nick

RAS as a service is not supported in Win98, but there is a goofy little sibling called "Dial-Up Server" under "Connections" in "Dial-Up Networking". I have not had much luck with it. The modem handshake usually completes, but the network properties are wanky.

You may need to go into Windows setup and install it before it shows up as an option.
