NT 4.0 server with RAS, a client attempts to dial up, logs on but cannot proceed, error message reads, "No domain server was available to validate your password..." the client uses Windows 98. The NT 4.0 server services a LAN with 10 client machines and Wingate is used for internet access. Help!!!

Make sure that the clients dialing in only have TCP/IP selected as the protocol for connection, also check to see if the option for Windows Logon (Log on to remote network) is checked. Sometimes if they have NetBEUI checked or IPX, the PDC will timeout authentication due to the fact that the client first tries NetBEUI or IPX before TCP/IP. Also, make sure you have WINS running.
