I have a network using RAS demand dial through a server with an internal modem to access an ISP and internet services. I'd like to use a second modem (external Com1) on another phoneline in the hope of improving access.
The RAS server runs W2000 server(SP3). It recognises the second modem in the devices list and diagnostics confirm it is working. When trying to configure a second connection through Routing Interfaces, Ports shows both modems. However the "New Demand Dial Interface" wizard does not display the second modem, only the first which is providing the current connection.
I understand it is possible to run more than one demand dial connection, so what have I missed in trying to set up the second modem?
