Can you have the Modem 2 card in IP Office authenticate users via active directory?

I would say almost certainly not
RAS on the ip office requires a user set to dailin for authentication.

I was thinking about maybe using a bastardized work around to give all remote users the same RAS dial in user name and password then get them to log into AD. Its either that or input alot of names and passwords.

Or you could buy 2 better modems for much less then the price of the IPO 2 modem card...

Heresy! How dare you get practical on us in the face of greater profits for Avaya????

Ah but what about the New modem card for V3 - 8 channels I think.

then again probably still cheaper to by 8 modems, but the IPO does alow ISDN data connections as well (if you can get BRI support :) )

Oh, SURE, just pour a pound of SALT in the wounds why don't you???? :)

Actually it will be a 12 port modem card - I do wonder what the price will be, should be interesting.

It's 12 ports when the winds from the right direction - or in plain english - the number of ports depends on in which control unit it is installed (can recall them of the top of my head).

And now for the bad news, it not supported in the 403!

And it still can't distinguish modem from fax!!!

oop, couldnt be bothered to find my release notes & took a guess

still it is a lot more than 2

MEA CULPA

The new modem card is supported on the 403, but will only give you 4 modem channels.

On the 412 and the new 406 V2 it gives the full 12 modem channels.

Its the old 406 V1 that doesn't support it.

Its the old 406 V1 that doesn't support it."

... except on sunday afternoons, and then it gives 24 modem channels. It doesn't work at all the rest of the week though so forget it.
