RaptorMobile timing out viewing mapped drive

I am running RaptorMobile 6.5.3 connecting to an external server. I can connect via the the raptormoble client and map a drive on the host server through dos using the "net use" command. when I try to access that drive in dos or windows explorer the system times out. I can see the drive, it's size and free space, but none of its contents. I am able to access it from my home, using cable modem. We are using SDSL here in the office with a firewall. The PC is running w2k. please advise!
