I am using my Raptor 6.5 for NT as a primary DNS server and I have been trying to setup a classless inverse lookup authority that my secondary Microsoft DNSes can feed from. I set up the authority like this:

27-octet.octet.octet.octet.in-addr.arpa

The secondary servers can pull this zone, but they aren't getting any of the PTR records. Anyone else ever done this?

It sure would be nice if Raptor would allow itself to be something other than Authoratative.

Thanks,
Josh

Raptor must be that authority. It is more secure to continue to use dnsd. I'm not sure how to do this either. It would be great to hear someone who has done it. From the firewall I believe the whole zone should/would be transferred. Could it be something on the DNS server's configuration? You got me.

Actually I found some stuff in the rather sparse configuration docs for the FW. Chapter 4, section 27 describes exactly what I want to do, I haven't had a chance yet to set it up.
