Hello all,
I have a report that looks as follows:
Commodity Manufacturer Price
1 Company1 $5.00
Company2 $6.50
2 Company2 $3.50
Company3 $7.00
Company5 $7.50
3 Company2 $3.20
Company1 $4.50
(so forth...)
I need to add an additional column called rank which will rank each manufacturer's price for each commodity. So my new table needs to look like:
Commodity Manufacturer Price Rank
1 Company1 $5.00 1
Company2 $6.50 2
2 Company2 $3.50 1
Company3 $7.00 2
Company5 $7.50 3
3 Company2 $3.20 1
Company1 $4.50 2
I am not sure how to get the number in the rank column to start over after each new commodity. Records are grouped by commodity and then sorted by price. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
CM
