range extender question, any help will be appreciated

In a situation I am planning to use 1 wireless router and 2 range extender. Now I have cable modem Internet connection. The 1st range extender will be working as the relay device between the wireless router and the 2nd range extender. there is no cable between the router and the 2 range extenders. My budget will be between $500-1000.

My questions are:
1. Is this gonna work? I mean The 2nd range extender( far from the wireless router) is able to communicate with the router? If this works, What equipments do you recommend?

2. Will the range extender be able to connect to my wired computers besides connecting my wireless computers to the network?

I don't know how far exactly. Thanks for your response.

But it seems that the distance really depends on the situation. The environment affects the distance a lot.
In my situation I am using wireless now and I am using 1 signal booster. Still I can not get signal at a certain distance. I do need 2 range extenders to cover the whole area. 1 range extender will be the relay device between the 2nd range extender and the wireless router.
Will that work?

In a large area will the wireless PC be able to connect to the Internet through the wireless router's Internet connection?
The wireless PC needs to go through 2 range extenders and then reach the wireless router to get to the Internet.There is no cable between either of them.
