We have flash voice mail for our norstar system. When we moved locations, the auto attendant had been turned off, so if anyone called our main line XXX-XXX-XX00, they went to the general delivery mailbox. We ended up having a mailbox full of random messages for everyone. So we figured out the problem, turned on the auto attendant, and it seemed to pass along calls just fine.
I just checked the general delivery mailbox, and it had 40 messages in it. Some where the standard, "this message is for peter ...", but most started with the users name as they recorded it for their voice mail. So there were some messages that said "Peter" as Peter recorded it for his message, followed by a message left by the caller. It seems random how this happens and i can't seem to replicate it intentionally. Is the flash system getting overloaded, or just confused? Has anyone seen this problem?
