Hi All,
I have a huge selection of records for a report. But i only want a sample of records. Let's say 10 or 20..that shouldn't repeat for next report run.How can i do that in report studio?
Thank You for help.

Go to the run options and make sure you select limited data (default is all data)

Thank You...
How many records for example will it give me if i select limited data? i only want 20.
So is there a way to specify to give me 20 records?

Yes and no.. Usually the set returned to report studio is the result of an aggregate. you may get a usable result by adding a running-count(1) to the report and use this as a filter (application : after auto aggregation!!) to limit the returned set

How do i do that? like how the filter be?

add dataitem 'myfilter' like:

running-count(1) or
running-count([otherid])

Drag this to the filter panel to create a filter. Define expression as [myfilter] < 20

in properties, set application to after auto-aggregate
