I have an Asus a7a266 board with 768 pc 133 memory AMD 2000XP cpu a 64mb Nvidia AGP video card SB Live 5.1 PCI sound card and a Maxtor 80 HD 350watt PS 52x CDROM 40x16x40 cdrw.

I have reformatted my hard drive because at times I was getting random lock ups. I decided to format because I would try to access the device manager and it would stop responding. After a clean format I would randomly continue to lock up. This seems to only happen when I work my system for example opening a web page even bringing up the task manager or playing music. Now I cant put a finger on it because its so intermittent. Here are the things I have tried

Flash BIOS to latest version
Reload OS 3 times all clean debugged installs
swap memory with another computer
swap video cards
remove sound card
remove all USB components
remove NIC
check cooling system runs at 50deg C
remove covers to the case for extra airflow

I will update the Ali Magik chipset drivers today and hope this works but other than that I am open to ideas...

Anyone?
