Hi All
This may not be the suitable forum, but i had nowhere to go.
I'm currently managing an Intranet of my company.
I was thinking to work things with the marketing dept to promote our intranet.
I had this idea, everyday the intranet would have 10 special icons appearing at random page within the site. User click on the icon/image, would be captured by the system and we will send them a prize.
But the problem is, how to go about doing it? Any advise??

Regards,
sgdragon

You could use your application.cfm file to create an array with the paths to the pages in it.

Once a day Choose a random number between 1 and the length of the array.

Check to see if the current page is the same as the page randomly selected using the cgi.scriptName variable.

If it is display the icon.

You may need database or text file help to store when the last random number was generated so you only get one random number per day.
